What www.cyrusrex.com and www.csmakar.com keep, and why. Not much: no accounts, no ads, and nothing that follows you around the web.

Visits
The site counts its visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and keeps nothing in your browser. For each page you open, it notes the page, the site that sent you, roughly where you are (country, region and city) and what you’re using (the kind of device, its system and its browser). To count a visit once rather than at every page, it makes a short code from your browser’s request and throws it away within a day. Your IP address isn’t stored, and none of it follows you to other sites.

Saves you share
Some instruments save to the site rather than to your device, so others can play what you made.
Unlicensed Operator’s cassettes, Type Damage’s prints and Soft Scope’s patches go to the shelf. Sent without a code, one waits until Cyrus approves it; then anyone can see and load it.
Play lab’s presets and the library’s saves (projects, scenes and recordings, with any audio you gave the instrument) need a code from Cyrus. Anything sent with a code shows for everyone at once, under the name the code was made for. In Play lab and the library, a code’s holder can take their own saves down.
A save keeps what you made, the name you gave it and when, and nothing about your device, so keep anything private out of its name and notes. Audio in the library is shared by the people who saved it. It isn’t monitored, and Cyrusrex isn’t responsible for it.
A save stays until it’s taken down. On the shelf, the oldest also go once enough newer ones have been approved. A code is kept, with the name it was made for, until Cyrus takes it back.
How often one connection sends is counted for ten minutes, in the server’s memory, then forgotten.

Describe
In Evidence Kit, Registration Error and Type Damage, Describe turns a few words into a study in the tool’s own settings. Your words, with the settings open in the tool, go through Vercel to the service that makes the study, and the study comes back. The site asks for a route that keeps nothing wherever the service has one, and keeps nothing of them itself.
How many you make in a day is counted under a short code that many addresses share, not your address (with a code, under the name it was made for), and only the latest day’s count is kept.

Other sites
The site’s lettering is its own, the Japanese too, so your browser asks no one else for it. One page of the site still takes its lettering from Google Fonts: there, Google receives your IP address and your browser’s details with the request, as the host of any file does. It says it sets no cookies for it, and uses the address to answer the request and keep its service secure.
Matter / Field and Polite Disorder open on CS/M’s own site, which has its own privacy page. Other links take you to other sites, under their own policies.

CSMAKAR
CSMAKAR, Cyrus’s business page at www.csmakar.com, is served by this same site, and this page covers it too. It has no forms, sets no cookies, keeps nothing in your browser, fetches nothing from other sites and counts its visits the same way.
- 07
Your choices
Turn cookies off and the site works the same. It just forgets your theme, and shows the first cards again.
The site follows no one across other sites, so it works the same whether or not your browser sends Do Not Track.
It isn’t meant for children under 13, and doesn’t knowingly keep anything about them. If a child under 13 has shared a save, tell Cyrus and he’ll take it down.

Your information
You can ask to see what the site keeps about you, take a copy, have it corrected or have it deleted. Message Cyrus at @cyrusrex on Instagram and he’ll answer within a month.
A save is kept because you chose to share it. The visit counter runs because a site needs to know how it’s used, and counting how often things are sent keeps the site from being misused.
If you’re in the EU or the UK and think the site has got something wrong, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Who runs it
Cyrusrex is the site of Cyrus Rex, in Los Angeles. Vercel hosts it and its storage. Nothing here is sold, and nothing is used for advertising.
